Michael Giraud
Throughout my career, I have been responsible for the acquisition, disposition and leasing of office, hi-tech, industrial and retail properties as well as development land. I provide consulting services, landlord & tenant representation, and buyer-seller representation for many national, regional and local clients.
Mike’s career as a commercial real estate broker spans the last 30 years beginning in 1986. His geographic focus throughout that period has been Washtenaw & Livingston counties. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University and originally joined Swisher Commercial in 1999. Along with his years at Swisher, Mike has served as Director/Vice President of Continental Capital Real Estate Services, a regional real estate development company in charge of property management, leasing and acquisitions; as an associate broker for Grubb & Ellis with responsibilities for the Washtenaw County market; and as Vice President for Colliers International, where he was hired to open and develop the Colliers Ann Arbor office.
Mike is a member of the Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce; Commercial Board of Realtors (CBOR); and is a board member and immediate past president of the Center for Occupational & Personalized Education (C.O.P.E.), a 40 year old non-profit educational program established to assist students experiencing difficulty in traditional schools. He is also a member of Michigan Adaptive Sports, a non-profit organization devoted to providing opportunities for athletic development to physically challenged children and adults.
Mike’s family includes his daughter Samantha, and his wife Heidi. He enjoys playing golf and hockey, as well as spending time on the water sailing and snorkeling.
