John Swisher III

1943 – 2023

It is with great sadness that Swisher Commercial announces the passing of John Swisher III, co-founder of Swisher Realty Co with his father, John Swisher Junior, in 1968. While John III retired from Swisher Commercial in 2007, his 40-year legacy in the commercial real estate industry endures as he was a model to us all as a leader, real estate broker, business owner and friend. John created an atmosphere of professionalism and family that continues today and is reflected in the very culture, mission, and practice of Swisher Commercial.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 14, from 3-8 pm at Nie Funeral Home, 3767 Liberty Road, Ann Arbor MI, 48103.

Remembering John Swisher III

As Swisher Commercial celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018, we knew it was important that John contribute to our celebration and he did so in the form of a letter to share with the community. His words have, do and will continue to ring true as Swisher Commercial continues to succeed in practice appreciating that John set a high standard for excellence in the commercial real estate industry and in life. We honor him by once again sharing his words.
