Mlive covers an update on the Heritage Farms Development in Chelsea. Charlie Koenn of Swisher Commercial is the listing broker for this development property.
“On Wednesday, Feb. 21, developers secured approval from the Chelsea Planning Commission for the second phase of the Heritage Farms project, north of Dexter-Chelsea Road and east of the existing Heritage Pointe subdivision.
“It feels great to be where we are today,” said David Straub, with developer and homebuilder M/I Homes, during the planning commission’s meeting on the project.

The Chelsea Planning Commission voted unanimously to approve the plans, with conditions that developers get approval from the Washtenaw County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office for their stormwater system, correct a discrepancy in the tree survey for the property and ensure a protection fence around an existing white oak is added to the grading plan.
M/I Homes will likely be back to seek approval for the next phase of the development later in 2024, with the hope that it could be approved and ready for construction by the following spring, Straub said.”
